I can't even imagine using this beast! From the looks of it this thing has never been run. It is an OS Mark II jet engine Anyone even hear of these before? |

I have no plan for it at the moment. I'm pretty sure it was used with u-control planes. This looks close to what mine is... http://cgi.ebay.com/Super-OS-Jet-Typ...item3ca64b2524 Or this one... http://cgi.ebay.com/SUPER-OS-JET-TYP...item3ca66a6cf5 |

Whatcha need? PM me and we will work something out! My uncle use to have a several of these. We mounted one up to a old pan car that we extended and we shot it off like a rocket! They sound crazy as they power up! It's like a popping sound that gets faster and faster till it's just a stupid fast buzzing! I could see this in a ProMod drag car! |

Is it just me or pulse jets need some airspeed to operate decently. My uncle had a version 1 pulse jet from OS (valveless) with which he built a V1 RC rocket maaany years ago. Even this version which is valved still must need some airspeed to operate at full efficiency. If this was in my hands I would build a German V1 rocket with it. It looks as if it was made for that purpose.

also known as an "ear drum burster" loud as heck but the couple RC planes I have seen in person with them on them were like missiles. Im definatly thinking prostock car... just need some good heat shielding around the body.

there is an old tale of a guy round these parts that killed himself with a rc jet engine.... apparently all hunkered down in his basement the guy had inadvertantledy left some fuel in an intake or something, and somehow made the mistake of powering it up... supposedly it like, blew him and his lil house up. those lil things are crazy powerful |
