No Shafties in 2010????

I just got wind that the rules committee have proposed a no shafty class!!!!

Meaning a MOA only class!

Bullcrap!

That's totally unfair the MOA guys wouldn't allow the shaft trucks to compete with them.

RivBlueNoma 11-08-2009 09:07 PM

Sounds like they need to put the "No Reverse" rules into effect.

The MOA guys are skeered of the shafties beating them:twisted:

Rockcrawler 11-08-2009 09:09 PM

Yeah, I heard about it yesterday. So I guess the shaftys will have their own beginners or sportsman class????

TEDROCKZ 11-08-2009 09:11 PM

Compromise?
MOA front axle and a shaft driven rear?

EeePee 11-08-2009 09:12 PM

This has got to be bullcrap.

I aint skeered! Both have advantages and disadvantages... I really dont see what the big deal with it is, a shafty can hang with a berg if setup right...

Thats what we have been doing for the last year and a half......get nothing but complaints about it from the shafty guys. I guess thats why all this is changing for next year.

Good thing I work for Georgia Pacific. I can get Kleenex by the case.

Would not think this would happen being Axial is still a strong supporter of crawling with their shaft rigs. Unless...........

Then what would happen next? Different classes for Losi MOA's/Axial MOA's/Bergs?

dezfan 11-08-2009 09:37 PM

Great, reminds me of that gay ass "Spec" class in short course racing.

I guess the MOA supporters are doing this as a rebuttal of the Sportsman class?:?

Now that makes sense:idea:

marzzz23 11-08-2009 09:42 PM

this would be the dumbest decision ever. As a president of a nationally recognized club we would vote on it, but I know we would not separate the classes. I know it wasn't the same thing but we tried a novice class this season and it fizzled. We had 2 shafties in our top 6 in points for a our just ended season. Just plain awful thinking in my opinion.......but who am I anyway.

XSRCdesign 11-08-2009 09:43 PM

What about MOA rigs that started as shafties?

I heard they were going to say no to that also?!

This is not good, I just spent a lot of money for nothing

atekt 11-08-2009 09:43 PM

I dont know about this... :-/
Is it set in stone?
