just a little discussion on the fact that the new summit has some excellant features and can go anywhere.....

EeePee 11-11-2009 02:12 PM

Never heard of it? It's a crawler? From Traxxas?

I just pawned my off nice basher crawler its not.

wovereene 11-11-2009 02:21 PM

mine crawls just fine even more so.....

Prime 11-11-2009 02:28 PM

It is a very nice basher, but a crawler it is not. It will crawl, but it is not that great at it.

wovereene 11-11-2009 02:28 PM

it has remote locking diffs, a remote h and low gear, the low is 70:1, tires are very sticky, you can run all 4 open dif or front locked and rear open, or all 4 locked, this thing is a torque monster.

i added weight in my front wheels and it totally made a difference in crawling. it changed th cg and helped the front dig big time..

it is totally submergeable with no problems, all electrics are waterproof..

a cool little add on is the bright led's that actually allow night crawling....

this joker is bad ass and if they allowed it in a comp, it would kill alot of those "crawlers"

wovereene 11-11-2009 02:30 PM

the crawl is all in the trigger baby, ya gotta learn to use it...

its th closest thing to a real 1:1 crawler i have messed with..

dirtyal 11-11-2009 02:31 PM

If you entered that in a comp you would get your A$$ handed to you.
It is an excellent basher and you can do some minor crawling for fun but for comps nope.

Please bring this to the ALRC comp. I will give you a RTR E-Savage if you win. "thumbsup"

I will let you run it in the 2.2 class. There are a few others coming from GA so I am sure you can get a ride.

BTW, how many comps have you attended?

landon4 11-11-2009 02:32 PM

Obviously you have never been to a comp, see if you can find a comp in your area and go to it then after the real crawlers run the course see what the summit can do then you will have a different outlook on this subject.

I like the sound of that, a killer. Underwater. At night.

I wonder if the rules committee will give it its own class?

tklatti 11-11-2009 02:34 PM

Have you ever drove a true crawler? The summit its like a swiss-army knife. It does many jobs, but it does'nt do any job great. A plus is it has increased ground clearance due to the independant susp. But it wont be as stable as a solid axel crawler. It has some advantages in that you can crawl, bash, jump, and run in water with no worrys! Thats cool.Don't get me wrong though,I want one!"thumbsup" But i also have 4crawlers. (for true crawling)

landon4 11-11-2009 02:36 PM

That would be the only way it would kick some @$$.

EeePee 11-11-2009 02:38 PM

Then it'd just be kicking it's own ass!

Underwater at night though. So that's cool.

proraptor 11-11-2009 02:41 PM

The summit is a complete joke....Traxxas is retarded

wovereene 11-11-2009 02:43 PM
