Decent Sami' Kind of a neat little Sami on E-Bay. Prolly needs a little tweaking but I thought it was pretty groovy. Clicky Clicky |

You'd be better off starting with a bone stock Samurai. I see a lot of stuff that would need fixed or replaced to make this into a serious off-road Zuk. Welded front diff = not good. Even if the t-case has the 2WD low option, you'll still not be able to turn with the hubs locked. Oops, just read it has P/S.... OK, it'll turn but with 22 spline Zuk front axles and 36's...... I broke four front axles in my ol' Zuk...... with 33's..... and I'm very easy on the throttle. Stock length Samurai springs are short = rough ride, limited flex. Stock length Lifted springs will give you kidney problems. 80" wheelbase is WAY too short for that much lift and 36's. My Zuk felt short with very little lift and a 83" wheelbase on 33's. That Zuk has potential, but like I said, it'd probably be cheaper to start with a stock Zuk and build it yourself. |
Zuk axles?? Chris, lay the crack rock down.. those are not zuk axles  plus i didn't know you could get 5:38 gears for yota axles  |

I put my crack rock down....... now it's your turn! :flipoff: I didn't know they made 5-lug Toy 4x4 axles. :flipoff: Oh wait.... they're not Toy axles! :flipoff: I'm no stranger to Zuks.... I've owned 5 of 'em, and three Toyota trucks. ;) |
I agree with Jason, that steering setup look scary! |

I miss the ol' Samurai. It was pampered, I never really 'wheeled it on any tough trails.... 'fraid I'd scratch the paint. At least the doors were smooth, wouldn't latch but they were smooth. ;) |
LMAO Chris :flipoff: Yeah I came close to buying a sammy, I just didn't care for teh WB too much. I am used to my yota being at 106" and not what 88" BTW- Ain't you too damn tall for a sammy?? :flipoff:   reminds me of Hightower when he ripped out the front seat and sat in the back seat when he learned to drive in Police Academy  |

You can see in the pic- the headrest is directly under the rollbar, so I was almost in the rear seat. :) |
Figured this little Zuk would entertain you hardcore guys  Steering is pretty nifty eh? Like I said, bit of tweaking and reworks would be required. I just been looking for nice Zukis because my slammed S10 don't work so pretty good in the snow  |

After years of hanging around on the rocks, you see what works and what doesn't. This Zuk is not a rock rig, probably wasn't built with just rocks in mind. It'd be broke or upside-down 100 yards into some of the trails we run. |

C'mon bill. what, STL only sees maby 5in of snow every 4 years. but never in big increments. Y a zuk or a yota. dont be fooled by JEEP imitations. :flipoff: sorry, but i got me a nice 57 willys thats stock everywhere and im thinking of going out the the Mid-Mo mud runners place. bill, its MO. you NEED a lifted vehicle. By the way, we still need to have our crawl off we were talkin about. nate |
