| The Digler Retiring!
After a long time in service, I've decided to retire the Digler. Last night, I put on some brand new(of course, cut and narrowed) Proline Big Joe Wheels, which work perfect with the Kongs. I stripped the anodized shocks and polished them to a gleaming chrome-like shine. I did touch up work, cleaned the chasis, etc. With the new, unscratched FJ40 body, I looked at Digler and realized it was looking like a show truck....so I decided that he will be retired to a life of leisure. No more competitions, etc. Digler is just too pretty.....and old! I will only use Digler for demonstrations at the on road racing and dirt tracking racing events that I attend with my son. The biggest reason is that I want to concentrate on all my new projects. I find myself always wanting to work on the Digler and I put the other projects aside. I'll put up a picture of his retirement ceremony tomorrow!!! Here is a list of what I believe the Digler pioneered: Cut TXT chasis for clearance and minimalism Use of XFactor axles under a TXT chasis and tranny Extended Maxx drive shafts Narrowed Kongs with side lugs Kongs on 4.25 inch diameter wheels Single chasis link mounting points Raised lower suspension links Maxx based tires on TXT wheels Forward weight shift(mounting everything up front) Shaved XFactor axles for clearance Conventional steering linkage for XFactor axles Mounting body directly to chasis BB's in the tires(Jason pioneered this idea but used rocks) and more....... |

Hopefully the Digler will perform better up on the shelf than it did at the last few comps. |

ACtually....the Digler is performing better than it ever has before. I'd say it would win the next comp for sure!!!!! It's just time to move on and concentrate on a totally different platform. The Clod Project is still top secret!!!! and I admit....I am a wuss for other reasons. I get beat up all the time and sand kicked in my face at the beach. |

Got my new job and I'm still here in Colorado for about 90 days. I couldn't log on through this server so I just created a new account. I tricked a few guys over in the TXT forum. They were yelling at me and calling me names. I provoked it...of course!!!
