| Not A Crawler, But It's Still RC
Hey guys, a while ago I bought this HPI MT rolling chassis off eBay $45. It was all stock except that it's missing a belt tensioner, but has Hot Bodies purple anodized shocks. I had plans for it before I even bought it. I was going to make a 4wd competition buggy out of it that would compete against XXX-4’s. My brother, dabid, also made one out of a HPI rally that was turned into a buggy. To give them an official name, we decided to call it the HPI RS4 RB. The hop-up list (*'s mean I already have them, ^'s mean priority): -HPI ball diff -HPI one-way diff -HPI graphite chassis *-HPI graphite rear shock tower *-Lunsford 2" turnbuckles (rear) -Lunsford 2-1/2" turnbuckles (front steering link) *-AE shocks-swapped from bashing T3 *-AE al. blue screw kit for TC3 *-MIP CVD kit for MT *-HPI graphite front chassis brace *-HPI graphite belt tensioner *-Team Yeah racing (dinball) bearing kit *-HPI graphite rear bulkhead ^-Proline R3 holeshot rear tires ^-Proline M3 holeshot front tires *-HPI RS4 sedan motor plate-free from dabid *-HPI Super Nitro Wheels *-XXX-4 body-$20 from decline1 on URC -Lunsford Racing long Ti ball studs -Losi shocks *-RPM adjustable body mounts for GT Here’s some of my most recent pics of it: You can kinda see the wing in this shot Major coolness! Camouflage The secondary mounting holes for the shock tower work perfectly for the wing mount Here's a bottom view of the mount My brother talked to Rod of Hot Rod Hobbies and he said that we can run our RB's in the mod class and that dabid can use his SS (even though it's slower than 10t mods). So, as soon as I get a 10x2 arm to cram into my D5 can, I'll start racing this bad boy. |
