Yea if you look at the bottom of almost every drag car like that it will say Snake on the bottom. It's just the molds they keep using. The body that is on the chassis makes the car though. A lot of guys will still look at the dates on the bottom and think they are that old to! When they were just made! But I do like that paint job |

snake chassis, mattel inc.69 vintage type china. I bought it in 96-97 at a service merchandise back when they were still around. it was a 4 car set t-bucket,50'scorvett convertible,4x4chevy,snake they all had matching paint and wheels/large 5 star no rubber I bought it just for the snake and traded the rest. the twin mill is a ira gilford sighned edition, vintage stamped, china with red line real riders. |

PM sent Kenny (or will be) as I'll sell you every extra reg. treasure hunt I have for $5 ea. I'll also sell you the 4 extra White Lightnings I have if you want. I don't understand how people can be so secluded to be overpaying that much for these cars. I can go online right now and buy the complete set of 12 2009 Treasure Hunts for $40 shipped. Only talking the standard ones as the Supers are hard to find and more expensive. If someone offered me $2K for my boxed 1995 TH set, it would be gone in minutes so if you know a buyer I know a seller! As far as Snake & Mongoose stuff, I can only go by online sites as there aren't a lot of avenues for swap meets around here. Personally, I paid $45 each for my '73 set (wht & blue ones) but the guy had NO idea what he had. Comparing those kind of redlines is apples to oranges with any of the new stuff though. The RWB Snake came out of a boxed Service Merchandise "Spirit of America" set from around 1997. I have that set and the other cars were a Bywayman, T-Bucket, and '58 Corvette, all painted the same. |

My wife and daughter are just as into the "hunting" for new castings and TH cars as I am. Every TH I have has a story to it about how and where we found it, which makes them even more special to me. The latest finds were 2 TH and 1 STH Fire Eaters and a Mustang convertible (all short cards) that my daughter and I found while checking the register aisle displays at our local WalMart. Here's another error casting I found recently: | |

Just curious but Ive ran across a couple of Hot Wheels that didnt get painted. I passed on one a few years ago but have grabbed the others when I find them. Are they worth anything because they didnt get painted? Not looking to sell them but always wondered if they had any value to anyone besides me.
