| For Sale Section
For anyone griping and complaining about RCC's rules regarding For Sale section, Scale4x4rc.org is laying the hammer down over there. Here are their requirements just released today: "New members just signing up, will need to meet the new requirements to gain access to B/S/T which are 300 posts, and having been registered for 1 year." This is to try to cut down on spammers. If everyone can see the ads, then anyone is able to pick out a victim. With this said, shut up and follow the rules and everyone will be happy!! Man I bet it's fun to deal with all the whiners there now! Maybe we will go to that system. |

Been a member there for just over 2 yrs... can't see the B/S/T section. Granted I only have 4 posts there... but just got into the scale side of the hobby so, I didn't post there. No big deal though obviously. Now if we went to that system I hope I get grandfathered in :?. Although that would not be my decision.......... |

Now I can't see the classifieds on either crawler site, I've been a member of scale since 2007, but don't post much, I only have about 45 post over there. **** |

Shaun, you should be able to see them on this site....unless you were banned from them. The rules have not changed here...

i frequent both sites, and have picked up many great deals off each site. i like each site for its own reasons. one of the reasons i really like this site's classifieds is the no bumping rule. one of the reasons i like the other site is they ban everyone that makes shitty deals... contributing member or not. |

We've had a rash of scams over there lately. One guy sold the same rig at least 3 times. Another tried to scam people with fake PayPals. Both of those were new members with low post counts; nobody knew them. The idea is that after a year and 300 posts you'll be known well enough that buyers and sellers will know if you're trustworthy or not, and it'll drastically cut back the number of "cool truck" posts by members looking for Freebay. And who wants to wait a year to scam somebody? 30 days is nothing. I think it's going to work. |

I have to say, I am very hesitant to buy or sell to/from any member who joined this year and has only the min post count. Given there are allot of new people that realy aren't new such as if I registered on scale but, how do you know in this world of internet thiefs

I hope RCC doesn't go to that system. I don't post here enough ever to be able to see/view them. On another forum they use the itrader setup. Having some one local that's on the board that has postcount or getting feedback from transactions is what they look for. I have not yet purchased anything from members on this site but will most likely at some point.

| I got an email from them. It doesn't matter to me really. I have been a member there for a yearish...I think I've been here about that long. I'm not really an online shopper or seller, and not really big on buying used stuff so I don't mind not being able to see the classifieds. I know I don't post enough to be very well known. I am on here, and on there for the good information I can get on my builds. I don't reply to alot of threads because I know I have an abrasive personality and can be taken the wrong way resulting in being banned. Just ask TOOLioTOOL...oops I mean cooliocool over at the TRX forums, he dropped my account right away. LOL |
