People here freak out over 4" of snow, its kind funny but annoying at the same time cuz people really don't know how to drive in this white stuff here. They shut down schools and businesses if there is more than 6" sometimes!!!! 6" in norther wisconsin was just a tease! I didn't get worried until I seen 12-14"s.
C'mon back...its still nice and chilly here...was -35 with windchill on my way into work this AM plus there were drifts over the freeway....

how on earth do you even get your car to start when it's -30* ?? I live in Baltimore, so we have relatively mild winters, usually doesn't get too far below 32* and we don't get much snow. I think I'm going to die of hypotherma when it's 20* outside!

Its called a block heater.....goes in your engine block in place of one of your freeze plugs. Then you just plug it in to any outlet and it keeps it warm enough to start.

Our vehicles here started the other morning at -20 and weren't plugged in either.

He'll blame it on all the ice caps melting and the clouds picking up water and the cold moving towards all the citys

In my 52 years, I've only seen snow 3 times, down here on the edge of the everglades only seen frost once, in 20 years.
I can't deal with freezing temperatures, my body aches all over, and I just want to sleep all the time when it's cold.
Right now it's 52, not too bad, but Sunday it's supposed to get down to 32, good day to curl up in bed and watch TV.

I live in Arkansas now ,but I read the paper everyday in my home town in calif. Look at what they are worried about.

  • Feeling the Chill

Modestans bundled up for a chilly Friday. Folks will want to keep their scarves and gloves handy for the next few days. The National Weather Service forecasts highs in the mid-50s through Tuesday, with lows in the 40s. Expect rain on Tuesday.
