It's about $9,000 in parts and $6,000 in labor and delivery. That would be double from most hot rod builders. I should know, I was quoted $30,000+ for a couple years before finally finding James. I had been hunting down cars all over the internet and ebay for a long long time and I'm so picky I finally decided I had to build it to get what I really wanted.

It's not a boat Mike..... With all that rain you've been getting I'll need a propeller. It's however being delivered to my place here. I have every intention of driving it xcountry though as soon as I know it's ready for the trip.

There will be lots of video of this thing.

Car is sitting on it's own feet now! Just need a starter and seats finished and she'll be all set.

I knew that. But he needs to either come pick it up or drive it back out.

Last I heard it was getting delivered to him?

Fantastic! Turns out I've been a vintage hot rod fan since before there was a niche for it. I've loved this style since I was a kid. I didn't find out about the vintage *cough*ratrod*cough* scene 'til '01 or so. For the last several years I've been planning a build and it will not look very dissimilar to yours. Great job on it. I like your eye for hot rods.

Are you using a quick release for the wheel? Looks like a tight squeeze otherwise.

I'm hoping satin black goes out of style soon. Then mine will be unique, too. I love satin black and I don't care how popular it is.

Too late, there's a '99 Impreza parked in front of my house now.....and it's all your fault with your dumb rally car thread. I'd put it all in the back of my mind. (So really what I'm trying to say is thanks haha)

Keep an eye out on my youtube channel, you'll see it until you're sick of it. There's frostbite cures in pill form now right?
