I emailed fastfred about this also because he was talking about the same thing before the first Seascape comp. I do not want to build a site if it is already being worked on, and do not want to compete with anyone. I just want 1 location we can all use to post nor-cal crawler stuff. IMO, the "West coast" title suggests Southern Cali, and that probably because of all the other West Coast names out there and because I am originally from So Cal. So I think "Nor-cal" is more appropriate. Let me know what you guys think, I want to get something going soon. | |

Well..since I may be on my way out to SoCal...I want to throw in my two cents. Northern Cali and Southern Cali are like two different states...cause California is so friggin huge and the people are so different in each region. I would suggest two separate clubs or organizations, not that an organization or club is needed. Not sure what the point is of a "club". But if you all feel better with that, I would definitely separate north and south and even keep them away from a "chapter thing". It's more fun to have the differences, as it creates more competitive competitions, etc. Also, the traveling time and distance is not all that friendly just because it is the same state. Guys from San Diego will spend about 10 hours to get way up north. Do yourselves a favor and keep them separate. Call the two organizations something completely different. How 'bout SCRCC (SoCal Radio Control Crawlers) or something? |

I juess I sorta see it a bit different beeing fron the west coast. I was born in Santa Monica raised in Palm Springs and live i the Bay aera(SF) spent 17 years in portlans ore. did not think of division, clubs, ororganizations. The west coast starts in Alaska and goes in to mexico. I think it is a region and not a aera like town. I was looking at something bigger. I guess I an nuts. Let the High school kid have it and move on.

hay randy sorry about the post my little brother can be a ass on the web but when it comes face to face hes a mute lol. Ill have to change my password. I think a west coast crawler site would be sick. that way we can find events all over Cal alot easier and we could spark more interest. IF we have one big group for the west coast with smaller sub group then we can promote will more power then just a group of like 15 guys. Im thinking west coast crawlers needs to contact magazines, web sites and mabe some Expos like RCX what do you guys think? |

Since I am never short of opinions... I think "West Coast ____" has just been over done, it's just too trendy for me. Here's what is available/unavailable: ncrcc.com is unavailable. - North Conneticut Radio Control Club scrcc.com is unavailable. - Santa Cruz Recycled Clothing Company westcoastcrawlers.com is unavailable. Redirects to Mad4wd.com ncrcrc.com is available. scrcrc.com is available. westcoastcrawler.com is available. norcalrcc.com is available. nor-calrcc.com is available. nor-calrcrc.com is available. I am going to buy ncrcrc.com and start building a site. If we (nor-cal guys) decide to go with a different name (could take us months) then I can simply migrate the site I built (if that is what you guys want) or scrap it all together, I don't really care. I just want to get something going for us. |
