Seriously though, I've tried it with about every rc I've owned that has any kind of wheelspeed at all...electric and nitro. The closest I've come was with my Slash. It'd leave little piles of rubber on the concrete, but never any smoke. I even chucked a buggy wheel and tire into my diegrinder and held it to the pavement....nothing but little chunks of flying rubber.

1/5 scale stuff can actualy do a proper burnout with actual smoke.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=20TujOzA-OI

the rubber compounds used for 5th scale tires are quite similar to a real race tire. the smaller scale stuff has far more silicone in them, hence why they dont actually smoke

Chris is right its the bleach.
Thats an old Street racer trick. My old man even had a way of puting it down in the water box at the drag track.
Buy the end of the night they where literaly melting the asphalt.
And yes they where getting the best reaction times.

Nope but once upon a time I had a 1990 turbo sundance on 14lbs of boost LOL.

Poor car made 180hp and 230ft.lbs of torque which is HUGE torque for an $800 car. Sadly she blew a rod bearing(maybe a few too many rev. limiter burnouts...) and is now off to car heaven(or probably hell for that thing)

We also drove it up against a concrete barrier and did a 3rd gear burnout, but no video. This video is grabbin 2nd gear haha.

I got my VXL Stampede to do it 5 or so times. I had it 86/23 and a 7 cell Venom. I can provide pics of 2 locations, one where it ate concrete and also I may have the Talons with a worn center laying around. It was pouring out smoke.
