Default 69 Chevelle :D

Well I figured id keep you guys posted lol. I am trading my 79 chevy truck for a 69 Chevelle Malibu. He says its a original California car. He got as far as powder coating the frame, replacing the right rear quarter, new trunk pan and new rear springs. The car is very solid except someone thought it would be a good idea to put a sunroof in it..... (id like to smack them) Anyway I am coming out on top for sure. I get a 4 speed tranny just rebuilt with shifter and linkage and a just rebuilt 350 trans as well. Also getting a new edlebrock 600 and a 396 steel crank OH! AND I get to pull the 350 out of my truck before I give it to him. The dash is almost perfect as are the gauges and steering column. It has no interior other than that though. Here is a couple pics. Let me know what you guys think.

oughta be fun my dad and i are doin a 55 2door and my 59 apache truck. looks like a good start but you may wanna go over that quarter and make sure its on there good. we just did a 67 chevelle and the quarter was about an inch away from the door. the guy prior to us hacked it all to hell. just keep an eye on stuff like that. let me see what your 79 truck looks like.

HOLY SH$T!!!!! So brace yourselves lol.

I told the guy I was probably going to get the 400 so I could leave the 350 in my truck so he gets a complete truck if he wanted to work something out so he sends me this parts list...

The chevelle
saginaw just rebuilt 3 line 4 speed with linkage and shifter
turbo 350 new clutches
700r4
vortec style heads
71 small block 4 bolt main 400 block
NEW 1405 edlebrock 600 cfm performer carb
Forged steel 396 crank (6223) came in a SS 396 375HP motor.

I cant even sit still just that crank alone is worth like 500+ bucks plus the block is pretty rare. OH ITS ON!!!

SOOO STOKED!!!!

I tryed to find a 69 Chevelle Malibu but no luck so i broke down and bought a 1968 chevelle, sunk a ton of money into it....it was worth it
i don't have it any more, but it sure was fun at the time
