Default Dip

Its been a fad at school now for us 13 and 14 year olds. I have yet to try it and really dont want to. How many of you have done and when did you start? I really dont ever plan on trying it, i'd like to keep my gums for a while!

+1. I started smoking when I was 13 and switched to dip when I was 15(was easier to do while in school). I finally kicked all the habit when I was 22. I still have a craving sometimes. Stick to your gum much safer and cheaper in the long run.

I went to a small town school, very rural and it was a fad there too. I tried it one time but it was after high school. I just about puked after just trying it for a minute. I don't know how anyone is dumb enough to power through their first time. Seems dumb as hell.

AKA worm dirt...
My friends grand father chewed tobacco when he was younger. When he was older, he had to walk around and constantly wipe the drool off his lower lip because his lower jaw was removed due to cancer....

I dip, not a good habit to have. I started in HS during football and baseball seasons, and eventually it led to an everyday habit. Its really bad at work, running dozer and excavator everyday, I'll dip 1.5 to 2 cans a day.

I Chewed skoal straight longcut while i was a tanker in the army. I smoked, but chewed while in the tank to get my fix (it was just easier to do while being active in the tank). When I got out I didn't chew any more. I still smoke though. I want to quit soon. I am 40 this year and really need to quit soon.

Don't start either and you will never have to go through the quitting process which sucks the big one. I know I have tried to quit many times.

DON'T!!!

I started in High School like a lot of idiots did.....continued on through the Marines, and finally quit a few years after I got out (that was about 20 years ago).....One of the hardest things I've ever done!! I still see it in stores now and think about buying some, but luckily I'm smarter now....I think. Do yourself a favor and don't ever start

I tryed dip once in hs and it made me sicker than a dog, it is nasty, I ended up smoking cigs for 4 or 5 years after hs a pack a day., luckly I had some good ppl rooting for me to quit cigs and I did cold Turky a few months back. Best decision ever, don't waste your time or money these items are pointless. Like someone elts said chew gum and be done with it!!

One can of dip is equal to a carton of cigarettes in nicotine consumed. I dipped for a while and quiting it was really difficult very addicting don't even start.

You guys south of the border must call it dip, but up here we call it chew. Same shit.

Never tried it, the smell makes me want to gag. I smoke cigars sometimes, but I don't have a very addictive personality and try to keep myself in check. I can smoke a pack a day at work, then not touch them for 2 weeks, all depends on what I am feeling I guess haha.

My dentist found sores in my mouth when I was 15 or so and he asked me if I chewed... I had been almost every day for 6 months or so, he said I recommend you stop immediately! I did but took a dip a few times in high school but then I remembered how quickly I was showing signs of something bad! Scared the crap out of me pretty good.

Like most on here I would say never even try it!

Chew and dip are different here. Just the size of the cuts, essentially. The chew is pretty much leaves.

I smoked a pack a day for a long time. I was finally able to quit back in August. Addiction is a strange beast.
