im looking for photo editing software at a decent price, whats out there? has anyone used the adobe photoshop elements 8? |

Check out open source software like GIMP. I've never used it myself though. But for the price of free, it's worth checking out. http://www.gimp.org/ |

I'm not really familiar with working with RAW files, but there's apparently a plug-in for GIMP http://ufraw.sourceforge.net/ |

Just a simple google will get you what you need 99% of the time though. Personally now I use CS4 PhotoShop, because I use Illustrator and many others for other needs. All my work goes through Photoshop and Lightroom. Around $1000 if you buy both outright, but if you work or know anyone in the education field, you can get both for under $300 with an education discount.

You can always check e-bay just make sure the code is freed up. i got cs3 a while back for like 150 bucks whitch is 50 more than elements.
