|  My new FREE Kongs
I just picked up a brand new set of Kongs mounted on Sayville wheels........the guy gave them to me for FREE! What should I do with them? Before you say......."give them to me".......I meant, what should I do to mod them?  Any ideas?

I think you should try that monster swamp dog idea you were talking about a while ago. Use the side walls of the kongs, cut the treads off of 2 sets of swamps and connect it all up. Or with some LST treads 8O .

Yeah...that was something I sort of started then realized how friggin expensive it would be. I would need the 4 Kongs and about 5 or 6 of the Swamp Dogs! Maybe I'll find 6 free Swamp Dogs too!!!! We'll see!

Well you got the tires for free, and you can get a set of four jumbo swamps at Rc4wd for $40 so by the time you buy two sets of jumbo's you still wont be out as much as you would for a new set of Kongs  Common Dirk stop makeing exuses!  |

In a perfect world, if you used LST’s you would need five of them. I got my LST’s on stock wheels shipped for $36 off eBay. I don’t know if LST’s would work for you instead of Swamp Dawgs. The hatched part “should” be extra; it is about 1” long.  |

Hmmmm! I'm getting excited about this idea. I'm also thinking about cutting them down the middle, using only one half of the tire, then cutting the other sidewall section off and gluing it to the full half. There would be one solid tread block that crosses the face of the tread. Make sense? Then grooving a tread pattern into the one big lug.

Here you go. basically, just use the right side of the tire. cut off the sidewall on the other side and glue it on. It would only be about 2.3 inches wide and you could do a lot with the long lug that is left.  |
