Pure Hell was my fav as a kid in the early '70s. Here's some cool shots of the Winged Express. Note the driver, Wild Willie's hands.

The 59 car has been around a long time thanks to Peter Gregg (RIP). I watched him many times at "The Glen" and Lime Rock in the Trans Am series back in the 70s. I got a banged up rear rim with the tire wrapped around it from him after he a wrecked at Lime Rock. It became a glass top coffee table that sparked many conversations.

I'll never understand why someone who has everything needs to commit suicide which he did.

How about a goofy looking wing?

Who can tell me why the wing is mounted like that?

Here's another Porsche!

I'm assuming you meant of the Ferrari, and I don't.

Over night.

No really, I have no idea. But I do wonder how fast spiders can work. Cause I bet that many could get that up over night.

@knarly nerd... That is one funky wing of the CTS, but since it looks to be an official type race car, it must be useful. It looks like someone grabbed hold of the wing and bent it back and down.

I'm just guessing here, but it seems like they were trying to grab fresh air while smoothing out the turbulence behind the car. That particular body style almost leaves too smooth of a hole to see major gains from a close-mounted wing. Bodies like the 911 have enough slope to them that the wing can "grab" the air coming down the back (as seen in the early Turbo "whale-tail").

Those RAUH-Welt Porsche's are absolutely insane works of art.. The care he puts into each car he builds...

On another Porsche note:

I wish I could say I took this picture.
