I dig the Brutale, and a lot of the other naked bikes. But if money were no object, I'll take a Bimota Tesi 3D please.

I've always drooled over exotic bikes. But the pragmatic side of me won't allow me to buy one. I ride the most basic thing on the planet, single cylinder, no EFI or computer aids, etc.

Yep, believe it or not, when I bought my current bike I had reached an age where I factored life span and maintenance costs into the equation. And in 22,000 miles, that mentality hasn't let me down yet.

And those CBXs sound amazing!

DukeMinnix if you haven't read this Ducati review by Hunter s. Thompson you should check it out here (in fact I recommend all fast bike riders read it) :

Song of the sausage creature

I get a lot of mileage using some of the phrases from that article to my friends and fellow riders.

I'll not forget the first time I took my Panigale in for service and told the dealership I was having an issue with excessive heat in my groin. They asked me what race leathers I utilized while riding, of course I said I only used leathers on track days, for normal riding I just wore jeans (I don't wear shorts, not ever)... they then laughed at me and told me I didn't have an excess heat issue from my tail mounted Termi, I had an apparel issue... I knew then I hated Ducati people... but god damn do I love the bikes.... when my soon to be born son turns 5, I will be getting the newest variant of whatever the biggest is at the time and getting it in the Tri Color S... I don't care how big it is

I'm very sorry for your loss! :'(

Why we're on the topic of cool bikes I present you the Britten V-1100. John Britten was an awesome motorcycle inventor that died way too soon. If he was still alive today I'm sure his impact on motorcycling would have been great.

This bike is dated looking, but it was ground breaking in its time. He loved using exotic materials. Look at that beautiful exhaust!
