Imagine buying a block, and also get a video of the whole milling process. I do not like CNC machines, but man can they crank out some nice stuff. |

| Re: Cool Pictures I disagree. I'll use a Brideport to do a back facing operation while the next part is being made in the Haas. The manual mill actually speeds up production for certain parts. As I get more proficient with the CAM software and setting up the Haas, I can appreciate it's ability to make multiple copies of a part with very good accuracy but sometimes it s just so much faster and easier to setup the manual mill and knock out some small parts.

My last workplace got a 5 axis mill after i went on pension ( DMG Mori DMU 80 eVo ) https://en.dmgmori.com/products/mach...-80-evo-linear And i have drooled over it when i have visited, and been dreaming on all those nice things i could make with it. And thankfully nowadays CNC machines are a lot smarter then when i was schooled on them during my apprenticeship in the mid 80ties. During my apprenticeship we was also taught on other older forms of automated machines, taking far longer to set up. With the right lotto win i will not rule out getting CNC machines for my workshop but manual ones i will get for sure. |

These days even roughing operations are done on cnc machines. A friend who runs a machine shop had HCHCR plates being machined on his conventional milling machine. During second last pass the spindle stopped and the cutter dug right into the job. The job was ruined and he had to bear the cost for a new plate. Another same job was ruined because the operator milled out an extra 0.1mm material. It would have been a different story if those jobs were done on a vmc. | |

I am told when i was very small ( so late 60 / early 70ties ) i was a sucker for beer, so to try and get me off that they tried to give me Snaps ( 45% ) Which i also just poured down and went,,,,,,,,,, MORE So really me having stopped drinking alcohol regularly for over 35 years ago seem a little out of order, not least factoring in the Danes general love for the stuff. The whole snowflake things i see not as in unique but rather just as fragile as. So glad i don't have kids and so i can not make the same mistakes. |

Lol. It’s a window, not a bumper. And the clear will peel off leaving the letters behind. I make just about anything you can dream up as long as it’s 2-3 colors and fits in a 12x24” block. Nearly everyone at my work parking lot has something I’ve done. |
