Fleet Week in San Francisco. I shot several videos during today's air show (while awaiting the wedding guests to board my bus), but I can't post them via TapTalk.

Ah yes. Fleet week. I remember when the Blue Angels would actually fly past my window on the 21st floor in downtown SF. That was before the wimpy libs complained about "war machines" over the city.

My buddy worked for United at SFO and that is where the Navy staged their "ground show" after Alameda NAS closed down. I used to take my kids to go see the ground show up close at the United maintenance pad area.

Oh, they were flying all over/above The City. I was picking clients up a few blocks from Children's Hospital on California St. Some of the photos/videos from today, I shot pointing my phone's camera straight up.

They used to do it between the buildings downtown. Below the tops of the buildings. Like straight up California street but only 15 or 20 stories high with half a building above them. That stopped about 10 years ago.

I remember subscribing to that mag...oh, the memories, and the dreams. Still remember wanting to take a mid/late 80s Toyota 4x4, lift it, stuff a Chevy 350 in it, and throw some Mickey Thompson Baja tires on it.

Unfortunantly no, but it is a good lookin ride. Dads been sub'd to petersons mag for as long as can remember. He'd get done readin them, he handed them to me. I had a huge stack of them at one time.

@Panther6834 id like to build my ol 84 f150 4x4 swb stepside into a 3/4 or ton axled, linked, crawlin machine at some point. At the moment, camps offroad in heflin is puttin new bushings in the suspension n a 2.5" lift for now.

Gotta get body work done n a fresh proffesional paint job done wen i get it back. It was a rich plum purple wen i painted it lol. Goin with same colors, but change up the scheme

This is one of the best things about my time as a Navy Police Officer, I volunteered to work security for the Miramar Air Show. At the end of the day we'd have to walk the entire flight line, inspecting in and around all of the aircraft to make sure no one was hiding out. This allow me to get up close and personal with a lot of these amazing machines.

I've posted this LS powered 74 Opel Manta on a modified S13 chassis before.
Rick (owner) decided last minute to take it to the last stop of the 2019 Hot Wheels Legend tour. He drove it the 90 mile round trip on the freeway to the show.

Magnus Walker was the deciding tie breaker and he picked Ricks car.
The car is 1 of 18 finalists that go to SEMA now. Winner is picked a Sema and then a production Hot Wheel is made of the winners car.

Best part of it is that 100 perecnt of the car was hand built by Rick in his garage.

So this happened today! I drove the car to the Hot Wheels legends tour car show. I’m shocked, but it won!! It’s going to Sema, with 18 other winning cars and has a chance to win at sema.
