I have a Sony DSC-S50 that I might let go.

Anything you have to trade?

If you can hold out for more I'd recommend it. Pay less now and you'll just end up spending more later. I have a Canon A80 and absolutely LOVE IT. Its $350 but the level of detail in the pics is incredible. I have yet to see people post pics that have the same crispness in their imagery with the exception of the pics that have come out of the little moab crawls.

You must not have seen any of my pictures then. Pretty amazing for a 4 year old camera. But that is what you get when you spend $700 on a camera though, It has over 8000 pictures taken on it.

You are right though the extra $150- $200 on a camera can make a big difference down the road.

And Cannon pretty much has today's market on inexpensive quality digi cameras.

The biggest difference bwtween the Canon A80 and the A75 is the LCD on the A75 is stationary and the A80 is a flip-out & twist LCD which is nice when you need to take a picture at a odd angle.
