So we have been tossing around this idea for a while, and now were going to go forward with it. But since it isn't up and running yet, I figured this board would be a great place for a little feedback on the idea...

We are going to be offering anyone that refers us a NEW customer, 5% of their order in CASH! So if you have friends who need batteries, and we have what they need, refer them to us, and if the make an order, and are a NEW customer, you will get a check for 5% of their order.

We will most likely have it where we will only send out checks if a certain amount has accumulated, and will also wait 30 days from the last order, to make sure there are no fraudulent orders.

We are also talking about, if this does well, offering either 5% CASH, or 10% store credit.

You will be given an ID #, and you give that to the new customer. We are writing a system that will reference our database from the last 8 years to confirm the customer is new. The customer will enter that into his/her order at the end, and your $$ will add up.

Anyone can do this, weather you like us or not, you're a competitor, or a hobby store owner. ANYONE can do this. We are also going to contact hobby shops to let us exchange banners under one another's link section, and ours will have a link with the hobby shops ID embedded in it so they don't have to do anything to make some CASH. If you're an online electric hobby related site owner of ANY kind, contact me if you want to exchange banners.

Let me know what you guys think of this. It will hopefully be up and running by the weekend.

So can I refer my self as a new customer and get the discount on my first order?

I'm in! I've built regional forum with a traditional website wrapper. I can easily list banners on the home page. Check it out at PeninsulaRC.com Shoot me a PM once you get your ad codes or referring system all setup.

FYI: You can also setup a banner/hyperlink to reference the referring site via an affiliate code on my side and extracting script on yours.

I met you at the old TRCR back around 02-03. I bought a handful of NiCD packs from you and they were just as punchy (stock truck) as any 120.00 pro pack!

Are you going to be linking back to participating sites? Personally, I prefer the linkback more than the referral.
