even if they did bring it back today, it would not have the solid front axle. instead you would just end up with another cute ute that is utterly worthless.

I'd be game for a vehicle with all that....but realisticly, I don't see many of those "wants" being feasible while still keeping the cost down to a managable level.

why bring it back like everyone says it will never be a solid axle and it will never have a body like it has...there are companies that make reproduction samurai stuff, you can make a complete samurai out of all reproduction stuff, it would just cost money and time live everything else

I agree. It would end up being an utterly useless (Offroad) fwd with IFS and IRS made to haul soccer moms around. Probably have a 70/30 torque bias to boot.

Crosslander. Was going to be built in Romania and was slated for US import....until the company went belly up and the owner is supposedly now under investigation for fraud...

I have a 95 jmny and tryin to import it but I get a run around with the importers. Calling and emailing everyone that is a RI (registered importer) and get different excuses wh ythey don't want to. So I am going to strip it down and send parts home with me. unless someone would like to hel p me fight the battle with the importers
Iv'e sent the petition around other sites too:

all i want is small diesel pickups. i was talking to a guy with a brand new f350 6.7 dually and he gets close to 20mpg which is impressive, cant help but wonder what a good diesel in a small truck would do.
I would be on that like flies on shit.
