Hey question, my buddy brought up. he said maybe i should get desktop mac $1100 for everything i wanted to do MAC wise then get ipad $600 to kick it around house/outside/poop with whatevs!!!!!!!! or can you run an ipad like with a keyboard like a desktop but then mount a 27" monitor so then you could view bigger then can you use ipad as a home monitor/like a harmony 1000???? remote? Sorry im all mixed up now.... but one thing is for certain so far my hp is getting setup for school/auto-cad cause thats obviously best call damnit |

They have a stand that let's you run the MacBook closed and hooked up to a monitor. It supposed to run faster that way because it's not powering the monitor or graphics card. The iPad is a cool device and I would not give mine up, but I would also not replace my MacBook with it.

Maybe I should just tone down the Mac book pro....... get a Ipad then get a 27" monitor YEAH BUDDY...........JUST SOLD SOME 60's........cha ching can you say another R1 |

You can hook up a monitor and external keyboard to the ipad But again if you need it for school don't get the iPad for that daddyo! Listen to Harley on that one, he does cad stuff everyday! But if your going to get a Mac and a iPad you'll be set for the house and have the iPad for everywhere else! Get the wifi iPad and take it to comps with you! I could even make you a case that you could mount to the chair for the ipad |
