The same reason why so many people put Ferraris in their screen savers.

There are wheels in the for sale section all the time. Used, but if your to cheap to spring for new ones they are the way to them at a lower price.

If you want quality you end up paying for it. That said I scored a set of VP Revolvers with weights and rovers in nice condition for $100.00 in the For Sale sections here. |

There is no tax on online orders. That said you are going the expensive route. you could get regular slugs, instead of bullets and raw rings, every penny counts. Plus you really do get what you pay for. These are not cheap wheels that will strip out, bend, or be obsolete because of a new track width, these will be one of few things in crawling that will stand the test of time, they have already been around for almost two years now and everyone is still running them, at least in the front. |

Stay away from the 40 Series ProComp's if you're scared of that price. |

Once you see the machining that goes into them I'm amazed they are able to sell them for that price... I've 3.5 sets (don;t ask) and they are the best |

| Exactly, I have a good friend that's a machinist, he won't even make me some for what VP wants, and that's the good buddy price. If you want the goods you have to pay for the goods.

| x2 I have made wheels for myself and there is no way you can get VP quality any other way for the price. Materials alone can cost close to what they offer for a finished product!! If you ever tried to machine RC rims yourself, you will gladly drop the $$$ for some VP Wheels.

and if you look into every single tiny detail you will see why, also they have to sell them that expensive because they need to pay off the million dollar machines they have to use!

Just some notes. - Aircraft aluminum, yea yea a lot of people claim this, but most of our competitors are over seas. Where the aluminum is not true aluminum. so we pay more for our materials. Why this matters? Well the aluminum is stronger. - You do not need to buy our weights, you could weight them traditionally to save costs. - One set of foams is 4 pcs. So you do not need to buy 2. - To date, I have not seen anyone strip out a dh pro comp. - To date, I have not seen anyone break one. And oh my, our drivers put them through the test for sure. - Interchangeable inserts, so if and when you change your truck, just change out your inserts, you do not have to buy rims over again. |

It would be about 200 bucks for Dh Procomps front, Slw V3's .700 rear and hubs and standard slugs. Kind of a stretch for me now but its not totally out of budget.
