New to me but that thing sure is ugly. The chassis shot of it looks like an onroad Mini E-Revo.

Yes, I believe they just modified the 1/16 e-revo for this.

True, it is a mildly modified 1/16 Slash, and out of the box ugly just like all the other mini Rally cars that have been put out, but it has potential. They're bullet proof, the VXL system has plenty of nut for this application, and the parts are readily available. My first thought was a clear body for an accurate paint scheme, along with the right wheels and details, could yield this fairly easily: |

I hope the 1/16th rally market takes off so more companies will start doing 1/10th scale rally stuff. I love my DF-03ra, but it sure would be nice if Traxxas did something in 1/10th scale, so I could get parts in the states. |

I've seen the picture comparing this car to a Rustler, should be close in size to a Tamiya M-Car and HPI's Cup Racers, I even compared the CUp Racer 911 body to a 1/16 Slash body at work and the wheel base and body width are nearly dead on between the two! I'll try and get a pic of those bodys next to my M-03 Rover Mini Cooper.

I still wish I had picked up an old TC4 with the Rally conversion kit, before they went the way of the dinosaur.

as much as i love rally, no thanks, i prefer the golden years when it was more than just ford and citron racing against each other. now if they release a subi, evo, even older celica and lancias then maybe. dont care for modern rally. |

I'm just not feeling the dimensions and scale looks of this thing. To my eyes it doesn't look right. It's too bad the didn't pull off a licensed body either. That would have been awesome. |

This really baffles me. In just about every hobby shop I have been into they have stopped carrying the Traxxas 1/16 because they don't sell, why would Traxxas come out with another 1/16? Maybe they think they'll have better luck getting rid of these with a car body on it? |

I took a 4wd onroad and lifted it, cut out the wheel wells, but bigger tires and 1.9 rims...and love my rally car.

I think I figured this out. The 1/16 scale Traxxas trucks have been a big stinker, too much, too little. I think they are trying to get their money out of all of their R&D by repackaging the 1/16 Slash/E-Revo into the Rally... Might work...

Could be, there seems to be a bigger buzz on these than what the 1/16 Slash and Revo have had when they were announced.
