My freind's 15 now, been driving since 8 or 9, and still managed to back his dads car into a stump because his attention lapsed for all of 2 seconds. He also used to drive the family 2 1/2 ton military truck, quite a bit harder to run than a new truck. PS, sitting on daddy's lap in the truck doesn't count as driving it. If that was the case, I drove an F350 when I was 4-5.

Wow! An early 80's Yota that isn't rusted apart. Most of them around here have holes in the bed sides you could put a hand through.

Your profile shows you are only 13. That thing will be rusted to hell sitting in Michigan for 3 years by the time you turn 16. Take care of any rust now, and undercoat/rust proof the piss out of it |

soon to be 14, then only 1 year and 8month till driver training...It sits in a garage, waxed and cleaned.. it's gettin a paint job this summer and undercoat, special paint will help with the rusting part, and new driver side fender, not really needed but for 60 bucks i would rather not worry about it... hey now that i have it i can trick it out, by the time i am ready to drive itll be awesome. Just got the lift kit, and a bottom rolling tool box, earlie christmas presents! |

You must not change your mind much, my friend's parents started buying rigs for him to drive at 12 (first was a 74 Maverick), He currently has three trucks he can have pretty much till his dad decides to sell them, an 84 Yota 4x4 (I kinda want to buy this one, its a pretty nice truck), 70 Ford 4x4, and a Comanche 2wd. The mav just sitts next to the garage, flat tired and neglected, and he still hasn't decided what he's going to drive.
