Default How long does a paypal dispute take??

So I sold one of my crawlers to some dipshit on ebay. I shipped it and the same day I ship it he slaps me with a dispute on my paypal account...now I cant buy or sell anything! How long does it take to settle this type of stuff?? Anyone ever had this happen?

It can be very slow or very fast. The best thing you can do is get on the phone to PayPal! It can take a while to get someone who can help you but do it! Have all of your emails, shipping proof, ect ready for them. They know that filing a dispute the say day you shipped is a scam! You will be ok.

Hopefully you have a tracking number. I believe Paypal says if its valued over $250 they suggest or recommend the package be signed for when delivered. If you have the tracking info submit it to paypal. I believe it can take up to 30 days from that point to get the hold lifted and everything settle. If you dont have tracking info its basically your word against his and he will win.

Well, I submitted the tracking info so I guess we'll just wait and see what happens. I cant believe this happened so close to Christmas. I had planned on getting a few more things for the kids but it looks like I'll have to go another route.

He wont reply to any of my emails but he's saying that the item wasnt shipped. I can see when I track the item that it is in transit.
I turned the tracking number in to paypal but havent heard anything yet...

Well, paypal says...
Information provided by the shipping company shows that the item is still in transit. Once the package is delivered, we will review this case and make a decision.

I hope I dont get screwed out of and rc and the cash...that would really suck! I planned on putting that money towards a new AK

Shitty, hope the guy actually had funds in the account, or doesnt just claim he will ship it back and ship you a box of bricks.
