Default SR5Dave's Shop

Just figured I'd show you guys w]here all the magic happens ;)

Some of the pics are a tad blurry, excuse them...

Perpetual space filler:

Its been put on hold, RCs are my main focus now.

Compressor/sandblaster (Was I drunk when I took this one? I don't know.)

Best wood saw EVAR, I have a metal blade for it too, that works more or less (Better than a hacksaw)

Normally like 100$++ I got this sucker for 40$

Proper execution of pegboard makes me randy

Thanks to my GF for this one, Valentines Day Gift

Once again, thanks to my GF..

And what garage would be complete without:

On the want list is a oxy/acet cutting/welding setup, bender, and more importantly, a bunch of lights, which I haven't put in yet. Possibly a space heater to cope with an uninsulated garage when its 25* out

Why does a dead slave cyl stop something from running for a long period of time?

Man, funny you posted this.

I've spent tonight cleaning/organizing the garage.

We needed to clean stuff up from the move so we bought a couple of metal shelf units that I built at 1/2 height to create some storage/workspace along one wall until I build a workbench.

I came home and told my wife that there was a military discount...

"Oh, really?"

"Yup."

Then, a few minutes later, she asked me to watch the kids while she went to town.

She came back with a Lincoln Pro-Mig 135.

I love that woman!

Because I'm lazy and don't feel like dropping the trans out of the explorer again to change it...I did drive the thing about 4 hours with no clutch on my way back from NY(it died while driving down the highway) I have a new found hatred for toll booths now.

I can imagine how that might be a bit of a hassle! Hows your starter holding up?

Watch the video's and stuff, it really seems like it can do just about everything... Which is excellent for a poor college student!

Just a slight hassle, took a while to get the shifting right.

Eh, still starts fine, so I don't care about its condition right now :P

Sorta related to the original topic, just picked up a rather large bandsaw about 2 weeks ago :P (rather large = 400+ lbs)

Thanks! She is putting her time in ;) I am making a center spool for my GF's buggy

I still need to master setting the bit at the right angle... I think thats my biggest issue. And/or I need to sharpen some of those bits.

Still a few things to tinker on, but for the price I'm not gonna complain

Hey, can you send me those links to be able to use the other type of chuck? The tapered one does not stay in tight enough :/

You can't beat MDF topped workbenches! Beat it up, drill into it, spill chit on it, pound nails into it.. and when you're done, replace the whole shebang (and I mean all of it on there) for about 10$!

They guarantee 99% uptime... Needless to say someone is getting a very angry phone call later.

40$ for 14 months, 1gb storage 25gb transfer, free domain.

Guess the deal was too good to be true

EDIT: Well, it looks like they were transferring the acct to a diff server or something. I wish they would have notified me I'm still going to give them a piece of my mind and hope for a few extra months of service.
