Default Tonights dilemma

A local friend and member here (Nishru) let me know about this G.I. Joe Jeep available at a local vintage store. So I went and bought it. It's still NIB. I didn't take a new picture but this is the one he sent me. They had it listed for $40.

Obviously I bought it.

The problem is that I am having a really hard time opening it. It is still factory sealed. I know it isn't that old but I still know it's worth more than $40.

This one is listed for $160! Even though a listing on Ebay doesn't really establish value unless it sells.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...#ht_1233wt_283

I just can't decide, leave it unopened and put it on the shelf for awhile or open it up and build it into something I will enjoy. In the end I may only make $100 and as I type this I don't really know if that is worth me just leaving it and not enjoying it...

To be completely honest, it looks great in the box. Vintage, if you can't decided wether to open it or leave it as it is don't open it. It will still be there for you to open it later or sell it as New In Box.

my thoughts are, you bought it to build something out of it, stick to the plan!

$100 for the short term, or a fun build, and hours of fun later?

Open it and then sell the box on eBay. You know someone wants it.

Funny thing, met a guy today who owns a McLaren F1. He said people always ask him why he drives it, he said because he didn't buy it to look at.
