And to Duuuuuuuude.....really? You would blame your innocent child, walking home from school if they got plowed over by a drug addict going 70 MPH down the street...come on man, get real!

"QUOTE" It makes no difference who the person was, be it my child, my brother, or a cop...if you put yourself in danger, chances are you're going to get hurt.
to protect by whatever means is fine by me ..but the guy was unconcious and no threat...what they did at the end didnt protect anyone...and to those who thinks anyones negative responce to what the police did is sympathy for the suspect WRONG

If he was running around on a busy street, yes, he would be partially at fault for getting hit. That by no means excuses the person going 70 mph that hit him.

It would be a different story if he were on a sidewalk or in a yard.

Not one officer who Ive respected (all) has ever given me a problem.

Lack of respect is the problem.

From a [my] humanitarian view, people that lack humanity for others do not deserve the humanity shown by others....

How? Running out in front of traffic is obviously a dangerous thing, and its something we teach kids from a very early age. They know better.

If you see someone running across a busy freeway, do you get mad at the drivers that almost run him down, or the dumbass on foot?

The officer wasn't minding his own business on some quiet side street, laying down spike strips just for the fun of it when some whacko that he wasn't aware of came roaring down the road. He knew the situation, he knew the dangers. Unfortunate, yes. Surprising, no.

and i guess what the police did at the end was "show a little humanity".im just useing your words and again no sympathy for the guy just dont like out of control cops..been quite a few incidences in the last few years here..and were talking innocent people getting the shit kicked out of them and worse in some cases..and because the police investigate themselves and in alot of cases the police have covered up and defended action that are clearly wrong the public here has lost alot of confidence in the police..i can tell you they wouldnt be the first people i call if i need help and thats a fact

Five minute rule.......You run and get caught, the cops get to play with you for 5 minutes. I don't feel sorry one bit for that low life......How many people did he put in danger.

Had this low life just gone about his day like the rest of us none of this would have happened, So we blame the cops........

I feel bad for those folks who thought what the cops did was acceptable by means of how a cop should react

Those same folks will throw up there arms in anger when some person of mistaken identity is treated in the VERY same way. I bet those same folks will use the brutality card when in fact the same identical end results and thats a cop playing judge and jury...

Didnt you know? Its the cops fault for just being a cop.

Hell you could use that in just about in scenerio.

"Well judge I was just minding my own business robbing a bank & then all of the sudden this cop just showed up out of nowhere. I dont know why he was there. If had he just gone about his business I wouldnt have had to shoot him. Wrong place wrong time????"

When that happens youll be the first to know.

Funny how the people who arent that concerned about things like this are the ones that dont have anything to worry about.

In the mean time, you just keep on with your F the police attitude & report back to me the next time you have a "bad run-in".

We'll see who reports back first....

Simple question
We all have a job (hopefully)
Your paid to do it,not act out,if your employer doesnt like your attitude what happens?

I ask myself this
When the cops 1st casme up on the guy and started hitting him.

1.was they doing there job
2.acting out of anger, fear or some other emotion

I feel thier actions are derived from anger, and I prefer cops who get paid from my tax dollars act with better temperment.

Some say that we need to respect the badge
Well I say the cops themsefs need to respect that badge
The people that paid for your badge may not like your attitude, hence you seve US. If we dont like it you need to act more appropriate.

Same thing happens to dogs every year, there is no telling how many dogs are shot without just cause.Officer get scared for his life and the pug goes down.

Well according the anit-authorities, by doing his job puts him at fault.

So the whole debate is taboo.....
