I see nothing wrong with Robb's post.

READ IT! He said "Post #3"

Post number three is my post with TWO links to the stuff on Tower.

You don't search, someone gives you the answer, you don't pay attention to what they're tellin you, then you give'm chit. I don't get it.

Anyway, here's a direct link to the post Robb was referring to, for those that need it.

Does anyone know how STRONG that plastic diamond plate is ??

JasonInAugusta 03-22-2006 08:02 AM

I backed mine with some thin aluminum.

Cut the aluminum to shape, spray it with 3M spray adhesive, and stick the styrene on.

Check here.
http://www.oakridgehobbies.com/g_scale/g_142-144.html
Click on "g grade diamond plate" it will show a picture.
Don't know much about the size but they make scaled down versions of everything. (like for doll houses and such)

diamond plate

gardentrucking.com go to welcome page then to products then to hardware
471 checker plate, 2 sheets 6.5x7

This is what Badger used on his bruiser and this is what is used as side armor on my 4runner, its made out of aluminum. should be plenty good for a trailer.

Mike
