Unless you need a tourniquet for your severed hand. Then you're kinda screwed...

My buddy makes para chord stuff, though I don't think they come apart like these do...

i have made several of these. I actually have one that has about 30 feet of 440# paracord. All one piece, No buckle, however i put a button knot on one end and a loop on the other so i can take it on ans off easily.

we used to make those back in boy scouts... i had two tied onto my wrist for 3-4yrs, then i got drunk one night in college and my friend cut them off...

I dont get these things. Theres a story about a dude saving a girl from drowning. So while this girl was drowning, this guy had to site down and unravel his "bracelet" and use the string made from the bracelet to tow her in with? Is that what these things basically are are woven high fibered string/rope?

I have one too, just like you described. Mine was made for me by one of my best friends when he was deployed. He mailed it to me and said to wear it for good luck to bring him home. I put it on and have never taken it off. That was just over 7 years ago! Its kinda my little tribute to him and any soldier deployed in the armed forces."thumbsup"

Mocrawler's wife makes some prety sick ones too! I wear my bracelet daily and if things continue to go shity I could always cut it apart and hang myself while tossing my noodle. She made a couple for my dogs as well but, one died the day I put it on him... On second thought stay away from the dog collars!

I like the keychain idea...I've seen links before on how to tie them, but never tried.

After seeing this thread I tried it out and found it relaxing.

Made a rifle sling last night for a friend. There is two 45 foot strands over two 36 inch cores. The cores (black) are braided such the outer (orange) can be taken off, and the cores can still be used as a sling.

Just like the salomon bar (cobra stitch) just double wide. Look at it one way the orange camo runs the outsides, flip it and colors are reversed.

Currently trying to wrap my head around Turks Head knots. Have some friends that want axe handles wrapped.
