Default Tamiya re-release

I was wondering how many people would be interested if tamiya re-released the bruiser? I think if we get a enough people interested we should send it on to tamiya. Telling them ac Rc Rockcrawlers we would like to see it re-released! I know I would buy one who else would buy one?

hate to burst your bubble but its not going to happen...start saving those pennys... I did a petiton with a ALOT of other members on RCMT and various other boards. We all signed the petition to bring it back and sent it in, we never even got back an email or anything. The rumor is that the molds we lost in a fire some years back. Its to costly to make new ones and the reason for all these re-releases is that they still have these molds.

I think this seriously comes up like every 2 months to 3 months...

ugh. every month is right. i talked to a rep from tamiya at last year's RCX show. he said that it would be impossible to do because the axles were cast out of house. tamiya doesn't have those molds. it's possible to do a plastic axle version, but don't hold your breath.

OK from Tamiya america..... We are unable to remake the tamiya Bruiser due to Tamiya in the 70's didnt have all the in house ability to produce all our own parts, we outsourced our parts to casting houses, stamping houses and mold makers. When production was finished Tamiya then failed to have the molds and stamps centralized . Over the years those molds were scrapped or destroyed and now unable to remake the truck.

I totally agree. I'm sure Tamiya has a few bucks to spend on replacing the molds.

They proabably don't want to.

Even if they did rerelease it, the cost would be crazy. What was it when it was first released, 300+? With all the metal and injection molded body, I could see the price at 4 to 500. And just because they lost the molds to the Bruiser, they still had the Mountaineer. It's all just one big lie so they can keep a good thing from coming back.

I don't care if it is $400- 600. That is cheap compare to the price of a new kit now on ebay if you can find one.

I work at a hobby shop and it IS going to happen, just no one knows when. I know I sound like a jerk-off but mark my words. Want some more inside scoops?

A LST 3 is coming, and Blade CX heli that can go inverted is coming, and fully RTR T-Rex heli for $200 is coming, as well as a new Spektrum airplane radio, and a Spektrum micro receiver for surface use.

Watch...

You had me with everything except the CP-CX. It's never been done, and there's no point to it. CX is nice cause anyone can fly it, nice and easy. Inverted <> easy. So yeah, you're "inside information" is worthless.

I'd buy a bruiser if it came out. But I'm not holding my breath.

It can be done. Someone can take the molds of the upper part of the Juggy chassis, modify XC axles to steer (the TLT axles were modded from semis, right?) use a Juggy or Clod body, Wild Dagger tires, Juggy leafs, a custom T-case for a big rig trans, and that's it.

ROFLMAO!

Now, did you step on that nail "inside" or was it "outside"? That is the real question here!

If they do rerelease it, great. If not.... Oh well, I'll live.
