Red face I'm going to be honest here.

the first time I seen a crawler I thought it was rather dumb, I looked at it and said to myself "my savage could do twice the shit that thing ever could." well I was wrong I watched a video of a k5 blazer scaler tearing it up and I was sold, had to have one. well took 6 months but I got a ax10 and Im happy with it. needs some stuff, but it does okay. I hope to redeem myself by saying Ive now purchased my wife a crawler, lil redcat but its all she really needs its quite capable and shes not all into upgrades yet, it her third rc, she started with a losi mini slider, that now a open wheel modified running lipo thats no where near stock cause she likes shiny carbon fiber lol, then she got a t maxx for beginner nitro so she can play with my savage, and now the redcat rs10, and she wants to put a pink escalade body on it. haha its hers. and my dad seen my axial and decided he had to have one, so he got a hancho kit i think he planning on making a jeep scaler down the road. right now hes all over turning his savage into grave digger. any who I figured Id admit to bashing on some crawlers but I hope I redeemed myself, all my other rcs are in the closet since I got my axial, Im in love. crawlers are sweet!

I was the same way, was at the hobby shop seen a pimped out axial on the front counter (out of the box to play with) and i was not into crawlers at all, spent about 600 bucks on a revo 3.3, then about another $400 in parts and fuel for a month or too.

Then a buddy bought a axial rtr rock racer. and he spread the virus to everyone who played with it. So nitro went to the shelf and sat till she sold for $250, i'd never go back to nitro monster trucks, possibly electric. But them baja 5b's look pretty awesome.

People just don't understand that rc cars and crawlers are very addictive, if they were a drugs the'd be illegal

I'm new to crawlers too, but have known about & wanted one for awhile.
What I'm amazed by is the amount of members here, sick custom builds, & how old some of the threads are...meaning they have been around longer than I realized.
Guess I've been liveing under a rock till I found this site.
Wait...there are no rocks in northern IN

haha I dont mess with her cars, she protective...says ill take it apart lol...she allowed me to but leds on her slider cause we started playing a lot more at night other then that is all hers, Im proud of her she does well with them. i love my nitro trucks though, we got a small track in the back yard, Im now planning on shrinking it ans putting rocks on one side now, we have a concrete stair case in front of the house to get up to the road, now it covered in rocks, thats about all ive got to do with it so far.
