| Evolution I was sitting here looking back thru some pics from the first R/C crawling competition I attended and realized how different my rig is now. After hitting the rocks with my basically stock TXT-1 I quickly saw some things that needed to be changed. So I thought it'd be cool to start a "before and after" type thread, a "here is my pretty R/C truck before I found this site and got bit by the crawlin' bug" type of thread. This was in August..... The diffs were JBWelded, I had lengthened the wheelbase to ~14" and was running 9T pinions. At the time I thought there wasn't much more I could do to the TXT-1 to make it perform better. I took this picture last night..... Lower, wider, longer and beat to hell. This is what 4 months of perusing RCCrawler.com does to the average crawler. I'm not going to say it's finished, 'cause it's not. I'll drive it like this for a while and will probably start seeing things that could be changed to make the truck work a lil' better. It's a never ending cycle! Let's see those 'before' and 'current' pics! |

CSR, are any of us ever really done with our trucks?? my first clod, when i received it: before i ever even crawled with it i put savage shocks on it. It was an amazing crawler for such few mods. Next I extended it to around 16 inch wheelbase and it got adjustable ride height. In it's final incarnation it was always a prototype, so I never had time to make it look nice. Adjustable ride height is awesome!!!!!! |

First, there was a independant maxx crawler. Circa early 2002. It was forgotten soon after Then, There was the pajero Circa early 2003. This was the last picture I took before I sold it Then came the first version of the TLT. Circa mid 2004. Had a lot of problems Finnaly, the maxx got made over about two months ago Then it was the TLT's turn to be made over. About a month ago |
