Default Basic motor help!?

hey guys, im no noob when it comes to rc cars, but i am today, haah my rustler vxl motor has been ran with the vxl esc, 3s lipo, and all the stock crap since ive had it for months and months and months, and today i ran it for the first time in about a month and it ran fine! got some video, the i heard a weird noise coming from the motor, like a screech, i stopped it and it ddint run, the motor wasnt moving the pinion, but the internals inside the motor were spinning, its the stock vxl motor, but it doesnt move the pinion because it got weak, this was witha 3s so i no something is wrong, the wires are fine, etc.. please help

pull it apart and see whats up???? could be a snapped motor shaft. ive dont that before. get to wrenchin'

May sound dumb, but is the small set screw on the pinion tight?

X2 sounds like it could be the set screw screeching on the shaft
