| gooseneck tandem trailer
I need your opinions. I want to make a gooseneck tandem trailer. Here is the 1st idea. Let me know if you think it will work. I just need to figure what I will pull it with, my 1st thought was a CXT 1:6 scale. I need to get the truck that I'll pull it with before I can figure the neck deminsions of the trailer. I also want to have working ball and tounge and jack. And custom leaf springs. |

I may not want to go with the 2.2 tires. Does anyone know where I can find some dually tires? I'll be looking around in the mean time.

Depending on what you are using to tow it, mine have 1/6 nylint tires on because they are super cheap at wall mart. |

Unimog - How long is your trailer (can you seperate the toung and deck) and wide? I saw that a while back and have been contemplating building one myself. Is that the same CXT they sell at walmart and kmart. If I convert the stock CXT I can use the original ones for the duallies. 1badjeep - the duallies were made by milkman but they are one offs. I don't think hell make anymore. |

unless you're real lucky, walmart and kmart have discontinued the cxt's.. even walmart.com is no longer offering them.. i got my cxt off of ebay w/ the traxter atv for under 50 bucks.. but you got to keep an eye out for 'em here's my cxt w/ mammoth dump truck wheels, juggy axles, juggy leafs, c channel chassis, 3 speed hauler box, and jr2 buggy diff as xfer case.. it's a mock up, but that's pretty much how it sits now bdr Last edited by bigdogrod; 04-20-2006 at 12:35 PM. |

I can snap a pic for you Jason, It is as close to the real thing as possible. Gooseneck tappered and goes onto to an actual trailer ball with a mounting plate on the frame, just like a 1:1 set up. I will get a pic for you tonight.

I'd like to see it also. This is one of the components that I'm trying to work out. It would help a great deal.

What is it made with. C channel or square tubing. I was planning on 1/2 square tubing but it was kinda pricy. If I built it I would have to turn around and sell it, to make up for the money put into it. But I'm checking around for better prices. |
