Tornado's in the south...

Here's hoping all of our RCC members and their families in AL, TN, and GA that got hit by the tornadoes made it through ok.

My heart goes out to all that have lost family, friends, and homes in the last 24 hours.

I was looking/reading about it this morning--my jaw drooped. I could never imagine loosing everything like sooo many have in the last few days.

Anyone heard from Rockcrawler? He lives in Hueytown and apparently it was hit pretty hard.

Last Activity: Yesterday 10:12 AM, hope he is ok.

Hueytown is close to Tuscaloosa which was the hardest hit.

I imaging it will be a few days before we hear from any of them. Does someone have any of the AL guys numbers to reach out to them?

redbaron 04-28-2011 11:27 AM

Just checked his FB page. He posted last night that they are ok. His pictures don't look good though!

Nick (BTF) said they were ok.

TEDROCKZ 04-28-2011 04:12 PM

I rode up to Tuscaloosa today! Words can not describe it. McFarland Ave(main business route) is pretty much gone.

Got a text from Rockcrawler and BTF this morning they were good thankfully.

Man i feel for everyone down there, we lived in oklahoma in '99 and that big ass tornado hit stroud where we lived and we'll never forget it, then moved to arkansas for 10 years and had damage from 2 there. Last year we said screw it and moved to arizona. I'll take burnt up over blown away anyday.

Pretty much the area I visited today. A good friend of mine works for the cities utility board and he showed me around a bit. I wound up helping move some debris most of the day........which I did not mind.

DickyT 04-28-2011 04:53 PM

Holy crap.... one big twister

Hope all of you guys and your families in the areas where tornados have touched down are ok. We've had a couple of small ones touch down in VA fairly close to where I live. It's nuts.

RCTRUX 04-28-2011 07:00 PM

Looked like a bad tornado but thankfully did not come my way in ga

JeremyH 04-28-2011 07:29 PM

Best of luck to all of those involved in this disaster.

92PathSE 04-28-2011 07:45 PM

We got very lucky and one passed a couple miles north of us. The wind was really ripping though.

Anybody heard from BenzBuilder? Others? I hope everybody is alright.
