MRIs are excellent at giving you information about connective tissue...not so much about the density and cell differentiation of the prostate...

If you told most men you would have to have 10 shots, lay still in some kind of scanner for 6 hours, or take a finger, I am sure most would choose the shots and scan. Some guys would rather just risk death than take the finger.

The actual "examination" part of the exam takes about a second. You aren't getting fistbanged for 45 minutes.
