Default Military Discounts

So I was in the market for a new motor and speed control and being in the military, I typically ask about military discounts. So, the offending vendor I was speaking to blew my mind with their response and I thought it'd be a great topic of discussion. So, where are people getting the best military discounts from? I'm all about supporting our countries veterans and current military members, so lets have at it!

Castle Creations: 30% from their stock if ordered through them, extended to military members and veterans.

Vanquish Products: ?? I know they offer a discount for military members because I got my wheels through them, but I don't remember how much. It seems to me it was 10-15%. I'll be finding out soon though with their 8* SCX kingpins though!

I was just making a joke, I know perfectly well that they have a military, and just never think about it until someone mentions it and then for some reason it strikes me as funny because we hear so little about them.

Kinda like the first time I saw the Mexican Navy.

Holy chit! They got a Navy?

Canada, eh? If I had a company I would give the Canadian Army a discount as long as they took the time to type eh when they asked. Such as, "Hey yoo don't geev discount to Canadian Army do yoo, eh?"

BTW, thanks to all the Canadian Vets. We appreciate your help at Normandy. To bad the French never showed.

This isn't directly RC related but Home Depot gives a 10% discount to active, retired and service connected disabled vets (me!). I buy some raw materials from them to build some of my junk, so the post is sorta RC related.

The first time I saw the Mexican navy was when my cruise ship was coming to port in Progresso. Somehow I was not intimidated.

I guess when you're used to seeing real naval ships a little dingy with three guys and a mounted rifle don't move you much. Maybe on a small river or creek but in the Gulf, not so much.

They got big boats too...

However, the ones you gotta watch out for are their special forces...

Ya, you gotta specifically ask them around here, like it's a secret or something. Some cashiers just flat out wont give it to you no matter what. Home depot does, but I've run into the same thing as Lowes.

I think that you might get a 'yes' answer if you just asked about the military discount if you were Canadian....half the time, they don't check to see if you're military, Castle didn't when I called them.
