Talking Where are all the TXT's gone to?

Not sure what section this thread should go into.

Can anyone tell me of a place that has a TXT instock? The local hooby shop said they had temporarily been taken out of production for an unknown period of time. Tower seems to keep moving there date back further (currently at mid-May). Any other online retailers you guys have used to get one?

Help..

I feel your pain.
I looked and looked for a new TXT kit.
As a matter of fact I looked since February, and it took me till April to find one.
I bought one from like four other people only to find out they didnt actually have one in stock, and couldnt get it. Also backordered with Towers, Etc.

Anyways - while searching yet again one day I stumbled upon http://www.pololu.com/
They had six in stock.
It cost me $395 shipped, but at least they actually had them in stock.

Im not affiliated in any way - just letting you know where I found one.

Also - be careful when buying a new kit on Ebay.
Because they are so hard to find right now.
That is where I tried to buy my other times, and had to get refunds, etc.
I would buy, they call their distributor, and find out they cant get one.
I have to get a refund - one time a guy just sent me the wrong truck, and I had to send it back.
All in all - a major pain in the ***.

Well, I ended up buying a used truck off ebay, a pretty good deal really, but I'll have to see whats what when it arrives.

I actually checked ebay a couple times, and there were only two trucks on there, then after I checked again after you guys mentioned it, there were a few more.

I wonder whats up with the shortage?

Anyways, thanks for the replies, I'll keep you updated on me new toy.

Well congratulations on finding a truck.
These things are definetly addicting.
I wonder about the shortage myself??
Do you think that Tamiya is discontinuing the TXT? I cant imagine why, because they are in high demand right now, but who knows??

The local hobby shop here said they went out of production temporarily. Who knows when/ if they will bring them back. Man, I was finally ready to drop $350 on a kit, and then low and behold, none were availible.

Maybe they are doing some revisions and there will be a TXT-2 coming in the future.
