I see Frame Twister is twisty than ever.. (last time i saw TTC was in '03 >.< )

Did they redesign the tank trap course? Last i recall it was in the woods. In this one, seems like its out on flat land with some digging done.

If those are the highlights this promises to be the most boring TTC event ever. I have not seen that much granny driving since the Senior Golf Tournament.
The hill climb looks like it has turned into a hill crawl.

What's with all the green rigs? Is green the new black?

I hope the black F series truck wins. That guys drives it like he stole it.

Everyone runs Mickey Thompson tires now. While I appreciate that they sponsor the event, Interco tires work better.

They look like the TTC claws with every other lug cut out.

He didn't. The #40 "House Boat" buggy won the buggy class and the big Green Willy's on boggers won the truck class.

The House Boat was actually kind of epic, a lot of guys on pirate and elsewhere talked crap about it (the rig only cost the guy 2K to build), and he walked away with the win.

Well don't that just squeeze water up a frog's ass......sometimes it's your day and I guess the houseboat had his. Winner or not, it's still a piece of shit.

Glad to hear the Willy's won the truck class though.

I'm guessing the massive 'burban, if that thing did well, hell yea, the ttc is almost a spec class now, kinda boring if you ask me, mot of the rigs are really impractical for regular wheeling.

Corporate sponsorship destroys nearly everything it touches.

You want to talk about boring? Watch my DVD of the 1996 TTC when they were mostly "normal" rigs. Watching guys trying not to get body damage and not hurt their equipment gets old fast.

Action is what sells DVD's, magazines, and brings in sponsors. The extreme rigs bring the action.

Without a doubt, it is a double edged sword.
Ususally things turn great when corporate sponsorships get on board, then after a few years it all starts circling the drain. I believe that Top Truck Challenge may be starting to swirl.

I hope not, but it might be.

I just want to see guys push the limits with stuff that isn't all a carbon copy of eachothers' rigs, the early ttc's were boring, I have watched some of the clips, the contest is great in theory, but every rig is the same. I guess its kind of a driver class, but that is a stretch. I like action too, but I guess its just boring to me, its a great way to get revenue, but its just not my cup of tea.

The easiest way to tell is if the venues start becoming more and more attendant friendly. By attendant I don't mean participant, I mean ticket buyers/event watchers/revenue generators. Easy parking, easy access, facilities, and beer gardens are a sure sign of a loss of focus.

Get's kinda boring seeing rockwell's and those 54" claws on nearly everything that goes in the TTC. Why is it still called the Top "Truck" Challenge? I think I only spotted 2 trucks, that big lack burban and the brown Bronco, everything else was a tube buggy of some sort.

I will admit that I am also getting bored of tube buggies without personality. Hell, watching the video there were two rigs that I thought were the same rig until the end.

I'd like to see more rigs like Sam Collins' F100 and Don Hadden's S10. Stuff with style and personality. I have certain criteria for who gets my vote, like no chevy 350's (you have to have an interesting motor), it has to have the right parts to survive a beating, and the rig has to have some kind of personality or a unique look to it.

Apparantly not everybody who votes has the same kind of criteria.

The Willys and the S-10 beat all the buggies. Right on!
