I used to ride my mtn bike every day to and from the bus stop. Going to the bus in the sub zero mornings was 2 miles of going down a dirt road and coming home was 2 miles going up a dirt road. and when i say up, i mean up. I hate biking up hills. I was riding a high $ specialized hard rock i think. It was nice, good suspension, ultra light, shifted smoothly, etc. |

Been riding BMX for the past 12 years, though not as much lately, before that rode Mountain and rode bikes a couple hundred miles a month. Getting older and more fragile so I have been on the BMX a lot less in the last couple months. But picked up a new mountain bike which actually just came in today. Going to get back on the single track and a little jumpin'. Santa Cruz Chameleon. |

| It was like 400-600. Don't know for sure as it was a gift...but i remember looking at them when my dad was getting his...his cost alittle over 1200...usually its what i ride now, if i do ride. I prefer engines...i've been considering building a holmes e-bike (yes i know its a motor, not an engine )

I ride 50-100 miles a week on a 2010 Kona Unit Single Speed. Mostly single track but also ride a bunch of quad track on the local national forest trails.

| I think I had them on a Rocky Mountain a couple of years ago. They feel good and are pretty aggresive. I just looked outside and there is a few inches of snow. Guess I will have to put my ride off til tomorrow. |

I moved to Colorado in 94 just to race bicycles....road, mountain and cyclocross. Now I'm just a recreational rider. My girlfriend just got a new Mountain Bike, so I might pick up a new one in the Spring. Looking at the Santa Cruz Blur XC or LT.

I ride a fair mix of mountain and road these days. My stable includes: Specialized Camber Expert Specialized Allez Sport Iron Horse Warrior full rigid singlespeed. In terms of mountain I mostly ride singletrack all-mountain stuff. On road I don't race, mostly just do group rides with folks from the shop I work at. |

2004 Devinci Cactus hard tail. Upgraded the v-brakes to disk. Light frame, smooth shifters..... but I don't use it much anymore.

If I had to choose between rc's and bikes, I'd pick bikes ! Used to be into xc mountain biking big time when I lived in North Vancouver. Now, I'm a hard core roadie. Picked up a Jake the Snake cross bike this spring and fell in love with riding the trails again. I've got a few other bikes for different occasions. Now that we have snow, I've switched over to a Norco Heart for the winter, outfitted with cross tires and single speed mtb granny gear. It's a good beater bike and gets me around in the white stuff.

Haro Mary singlespeed, PB Access 9.7 hardtail with some upgrades to lose weight. Both of these are 29ers....sold all my 26" bikes a couple years ago after riding my first 29ers. Just bought a Specialized Secteur Elite Compact for training....riding road is great recovery after hard MTB ride and it is great for building endurance. Just sold my Mary, but I'll get another SS later.
