I came up with that when I flew into Nashville one summer and stepped out into stupid hot temps and an even stupider amount of humidity. I have never ever felt humidity like that and it took me a good 5 minutes to catch my breath. The hot and wet blanket over the head was the closest thing I could liken it to.

I moved into an apartment in Phoenix in the middle of summer and it took me until November to realize that the breaker had been flipped for the water heater.

Haha....yeah, surface temps can REALLY heat up the water in a main that is only two feet below the ground...

108* at 1:30 PM according to the thermometer at work. YUK!!

This is when I wished I had stayed in Seattle, I was at the point where I didn't care about mold growing on my car and 9 months of no sunshine and constant rain wasn't a big deal anymore....

It was 91* last night at midnight. This sucks. We have had triple digit heat since June here in East Texas. We have had no rain either. Nearly the entire state of Texas is under a burn ban to. We need some cooler weather and rain badly.

Simple? Our measurements are way more complicated than your silly little decimalized metric system that makes sense.

Us stubborn Americans will just stick to our ancient system based on body parts, branches and icy brine.

Yeah this sucks. I'm not one to really complain, lived in Texas my whole life so I'm kinda used to it. Like Eddie(novasark) said, we live near each other, it was 107 yesterday evening @ 7:30. Forecast shows nothing less than 105 w/ index 110+. If you ain't got sweat rollin down the crack of your ass by 6 in the mornin, you ain't livin.

Damn ya'll are lucky. It sucks right now. It's been like 70-80* all summer long so far. Going to the lake when it's only 82* is not very fun.
