Default My Custom Video Gaming Rig!

Here is a gaming/racing rig that I built because I'm excited about the Forza Motorsports 4 release for Xbox 360. As well as other racing games.

Its made out of 1/2", 3/4" & 1" Conduit. All bent up & welded by me.
There is a couple of pieces of aluminum that I machined for a purely cosmetic "Racey" look.

That is a Fanatec Porsche 911 GT2 Force Feedback Steering wheel with 6spd H-pattern Shifter as well as Clutch, Brake & Gas pedals. Top of the line equipment.
Also, you see a Quality Recaro Seat for extreme comfort with large bolsters for the support a racer needs. It is fully adjustable with sliders & recliners.

The rig comes apart at the middle with a quick release pin so, when I'm not gaming I can put the front piece away for storage and the Recaro remains a decorative & useful seat in my living room.
The whole unit is strategically wired up so, It can be transported and once its set up, It only needs to be plugged in to an outlet.
It is all wrapped with black "hockey tape" fabric tape.

Check it out...

And, Here's what it looks like when you do simulated donuts in the grass..

Now! Who wants to race!!?

Yeah, I know what your saying.

But, I'm into the console gaming more for some reason. Although, this rig is compatible with PC, PS3 & Xbox.
I just dont have a cool enough computer to get into the PC games.

You should check out GTR or GTR2 or GT Legends. They are all old games that are so unbelievably fun to play. There is still a great online support for them. You already have the equipment and you can pick up a copy of most of them for around 10 dollars nowadays. You will not regret it!

Thanks. That looks like a pretty cool game but, I dont have much in terms of a computer.
All I have is a laptop that is several years old. I didnt see the system requirements for that game?
My Toshiba Satellite Runs Windows XP Home, Intel Celeron 1.4GHz / 448mb of RAM / Ati graphics?

You have to click a little button that says "show more requirements" under the systems requirements list:
  • Windows XP/2000
  • 1.3 GHz Intel Pentium III or AMD
  • 512 MB RAM
  • 2.5 GB hard-drive space
  • DirectX 8.1 compatible
  • Video card/64 MB DirectX 8.1 compatible
  • Sound card
  • Keyboard and mouse
Sounds like the game was made for you.

Haha, I hear ya. It is in the works! Sometimes I update the build thread without bumping the thread so, you'll have to check in from time to time to see whats new. I just pulled the trigger on my Rpp.com online cart so, I got some new goodies on the way. I'm gonna attempt a tundra hard body on the wreckluse.
