I just ordered myself a cheap big nasty "chopper", Bowie design with a 10" blade. Should make firewood making a bit more fun on those 1-2 days every year when we light up a fire, and i can pretend to be Crocodile Dundee in front of the bathroom mirror. I would have preferred to get another blade, but what i really want i cant afford with me being on the bottom of Danish society. I would have preferred to order a handgun, but sh,,,, stuff like that just dont fly here, and a knife is just a big fine where a handgun is a ticket strait to jail, and a even bigger fine. |

Nice SIG remind me of the old 7.62 of theirs i once had, but then again i assume any SIG would do that, and to be honest i did prefer that little peashooter over larger things i had back then. So glad those days was before digital cameras and small video cameras and internet, or i am sure we would have done something really stupid and then posted it online. |

Grabbed a 308 to match the 22. Cabelas had the scope on sale for 150 last weekend. I need a matched pair for of bipods, maybe something that swivels. |

Yes. When i was young i read many books ( before intertnet ) about how to use them and how to guard against them if you have nothing. Also practiced with friends 2 times a week for a couple of years with wooden knifes in hand 2 hand combat. Among other "creative" things i cant mention in these paranoid days. I would prefer a gun as thats what many "kriminelle" have these days, but as a law abiding Dane all i have is a phone number where i will have to be que up for some time before i get to talk to a person that is likely to just insult me and hang up. |

Anyone have experience with the Taurus 444 UltraLite? I was leaning towards a Ruger Alaskan short barrel and came across one of these in the store. 6 rounds would nearly weigh as much as it does unloaded at 28oz. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Peaker, knowledge and training is a good thing. Many people obtain weapons with limited training or ability, that can be very dangerous. Situational awareness can help to avoid becoming a victim, even in a 'gun free' zone, you could find something to defend yourself with, a fire extinguisher can be used to blind an attacker, a set of keys or even a pen or pencil could save a life.

"knowledge and training is a good thing" Indeed. I never been trained in weapons use other than in the rifle club where i shot 15 - 50 and 200 M when i was 10 or 11. But i was denied serving my country in the armed forces tho a lot people was drafted for a 12 month stint every year in the mid 80ties, most likely due to me being a 1.9 M tall skeleton in a skin sack back back then, or maybe my commie father. But thats okay, i know not to point anything at anything i am not willing to kill, it dont really take a rocket scientist to handle a firearm safely. I can also ( or rather could ) field strip a M75 ( H&K G3 ) or a AK 74 blindfolded, but that was solely due to me being a really naughty boy when i was young |

| Re: Gun and knife picture thread! Around here, it takes about a year from the court date to get your "evidence" back. I know, that doesn't apply to you but, even if they recover it, you will likely have to wait quite awhile before you get your gun back. Wishing you luck, though.

Here we go California, for the most useless mouth-breathers in the state, Brown/Newsom. Five 80%ers off to laser engravers. Two of which are unfinished and might possibly stay paper weights. Pretty happy with the work. .010" deep, good for paint fill. My anodized lower suffered no blow out at all. May have taken 30 minutes for all 5. Local engraver , Sunnyvale, waited while the work was done. Two of these are AR pistols and registration as AW is mandatory but they get to stay Evil. It's funny, watching the news reports on heightened security because of what happened in Germany. What gun are cops holding while they stand guard? Hmm...that very same "evil" gun us everyday folks aren't freely able to own.

JeepinDoug that engraving looks great! I had some required and custom engraving done on my SBR lower but I had to ship mine because no one local to me does gun engraving. I chose Veritas Machine. They were very reasonable and did a great job. Only took 5 days total from me shipping it to having it delivered to my door. | |
