I liked the other ones better personally. Especially if you plan on shooting full house 10mm loads. But, it's not my gun.

I like them both too, but the wood much more. The wood ones are more grippy than they look. I've got big strong mitts so I'd probably be ok with completely smooth grips so not too worried. I'll be trying some full house loads this weekend so we'll see...

If that's a steel 1911 then they're pretty steady, ergos are good. My grips are almost too grippy - I swear they would cut your hands if you had to shoot it a lot. It's surely fun to target shoot - the entire family digs it. Their eyes get really big. LOL We're not that far from the desert and outdoor shooting is a blast. I like Rugers - got a 9e 9mm that is the most accurate gun I own, and a SR22 purple I gave the wife. She asked me if I 'really got me a gun for my birthday' and I said yes and then turns to me at the range siting it in and says, "This is FUN". Yep. Last edited by Browneye; 03-06-2019 at 07:18 PM. |

| Re: Gun and knife picture thread! Understood. To be clear, they're both nice. Guns are a lot like cars, we all have different taste is all. My next handgun will be a 10mm as well. |

1. No different then cutting up expensive crawler parts to make what we want.. lol.. 2. Thank you! I love the way this knife came out! 3. I can't find the color I want in a course G10, so it's still has the smooth G10.. Which might just stay. It worked pretty damn good, even cover in blood. Stayed in hand, at all angles of gutting and skinning. Sent from my Moto Z3 Play using Tapatalk

Been wanting something with a light rail. Rather than spend the coin on an all new gun, I just picked up a Poly 80 lower for my G26. It's always been dead nuts reliable, and I shoot it well. That, along with the price difference between the two options meant this made the most sense to me. Also picked up some Meprolight night sights, and an Olight PL-MINI 2. Took it to the range today for it's first 200rds, and it ran flawlessly. Was a bit tight at first cycling by hand, but it's smooth as can be now. Really happy with how it turned out. Covered in crud and excess oil after running it in today, but you get the idea Last edited by hpiguy; 03-12-2019 at 09:25 PM. |

The only problem with a weapon light on a defense weapon is you have to point the gun at anything you want to see lit up. And we all know we don't want to point it at anything we aren't willing to kill. I like them, but my BIL is a firearms instructor and this quandary always pops up. So I have some torch lights but none are mounted to firearms. I have two pistols with empty tactical rails. |

Yes, I've read that many times before. What never gets mentioned along with that however is proper trigger discipline. Or, as my instructor would say, keep your damn booger hooks off the bang switch. |

I love my G26 too, it was already my favorite handgun, but it's even more so now. Just gives me more options with a familiar platform.
