I have been in many fights,and once my adrenaline gets started,I don't stop till its gone,or they pull me off.

The guys may have lost control for a bit,but they put him in the situation that made him react like that.

Your totally missing his point.

Yes the guy had all right to protect himself but if you do watch the vid,there is a point where they were clearly down and badly hurt and he kept beating them with the pole,was it extensive,yes but i'm not disagreeing with the fact that he had every right to protect himself but they were clearly down and the staff could have held them until police arrived.

If you can't hold down two women after they were clobered by a metal pole then your a bitch plain and simple.

Like I had said I agree with how he reacted. But understanding the law and where that line is drawn I feel he over stepped it with the last hits. Yes he defended himself but once the attacker was down thats where it stopped. Now granted we cannot see whats behind the counter so all we can do is guess but I saw no deadly weapon the the attacker from the get go.

I tell you what.....you show me the da who is gonna prosecute....now show me a cop that da has prosecuted for not stopping once the assailant was down.Cops los it all the time,and they are professionals who are TRAINED for those situations.You hear the aurguments,cop was reacting to the situation,,,,,so was this guy.....this guys is just a average joe,not a damn thing wrong with what he did.

YOu missing my point...my point is that IMO he did nothing wrong,in fact I would have likey done more.

If you are attemting to hold them down,your not out of teh situation,in fact,you are now closer to them,which means more can happen.

a good friend,we had been drinking,and we always was testing our strenght.
well he was better than me at arm wrestling,but I pulled out my 16lb seldge(yeah ricky,16,but I was alot younger then)

on the 3rd slap I snapped,put my thumb in his throwt and went to the ground,my cousin pulled mem off,but I had already smacked his head 3x into the driveway.

You dont have to press charges,the state will do that for you wrether you like it or not if police are involved.
we had to call an ambulance,and the cops showed up.
But it was slef defence....his parents tried to press charges,and sue for medical bills

One thing that hasn't been brought up yet, and could be a reason for him not stopping is PTSD. If this guy spent ten years in prison, who knows what happened to him in there that could have triggered that severe of a reaction.

That's crazy enough that it might work. No way he could get off clean but "treatment" will make his stay a little shorter.

I think they must have still been threating him when they were on the ground and thats why he keept hitting them. I think if he would have stopped, they would have got up and beat his ass.
