I was lucky to see him live once, he's the one of the few who could stand on a stage with Steve Howe and match him. He's also the only Yes member to be there consistently through the years- he was the heart of that band.

Rust I'm no spring chicken either, and I confess I first got interested in them when
91025 came out but I have a friend who introduced me to their back catalog and I was hooked. Like zep each guy is very talented and like zep they really shine on stage- His tone and overall stage presence was very impressive.

Here's just a little bio...
Yes are an English rock band formed in 1968 by bassist Chris Squire and singer Jon Anderson.
Yes first achieved success in the 1970s with a progressive, art and symphonic style of rock music. They are distinguished by their use of mystical and cosmic lyrics, live stage sets, and lengthy compositions, often with complex instrumental and vocal arrangements. Nine of their twenty studio albums have reached the top ten in either the UK or US, with two reaching number one in the UK. They have sold 13.5 million certified units in the US.[1] The band's most recent line-up consists of singer Jon Davison, guitarist Steve Howe, bass guitarist Chris Squire, nass guitarist Billy Sherwood. keyboardist Geoff Downes, and drummer Alan White.
Their first album with Davison, was released in July 2014. On 19 May 2015, Yes announced that due to leukemia, Squire was taking a leave from the band, with Sherwood announced as his temporary replacement. Squire died on 28 June 2015.

Gaming would not be the same without Yes soundtracks.
Tales is a go to album for any science fiction or fantasy themed game.
You will be missed sir.

His unique sound and style was one of my favorites.

In a 1973 interview for Guitar Player magazine, Squire recalled how he had obtained his distinctive tone at the time by rewiring his Rickenbacker bass ( RM1999) into stereo and sending the bass and treble pick-ups each into a separate amplifier. By splitting the signal from his bass into dual high and low frequency outputs and then sending the low frequency output to a conventional bass amplifier and the high-frequency output to a separate lead guitar amplifier, Squire produced a tonal 'sandwich' that added a growling, overdrive edge to the sound while retaining the Rickenbacker's powerful bass response. This gave his bass sound bright, growling higher frequencies and clean, solid bass frequencies. This technique allowed Squire to utilise harmonic distortion on his bass while avoiding the flat, fuzzy sound, loss of power and poor bass response that typically occurs when bass guitars are overdriven through an amplifier or put through a fuzz box.

He wired his Rick stereo before rick-o-sound was offered from the factory.
Always wanted a Rick for this exact reason.

His music will inspire for generations and Yes will forever epitomize British Progressive Rock.
